I am suffering from intermittant lightheadness sort of like a muzzy head and every so often I feel for a second or two that I'm gonna faint but I don't. GP can't find anything wrong and isn't concerned just wondered how often if at all anyone else feels like this?

Does it happen when you stand up quickly? I get this sometimes, particularly if I sit in a very low (e.g. child's chair) and stand up fast.

I haven't bothered going to the GP, as am pretty sure it's blood pressure related. I am careful not to stand up fast while holding a child.

I had this when I was anemic. have you had blood tests?

I used to get something like this before I had children (and when I still used to smoke - I still don't know whether it was related or not). My GP advised me to carry a packet of biscuits around with me as he thought it was probably something to do with my blood sugar level. Needless to say that I didn't do that but I did take to carrying a packet of glucose tablets in my handbag and they seemed to help a bit.

No worse on standing, although does seem to get better after eating but really I can't seem to relate it to anything it comes and goes. At times I feel quite disorientated.

I get this, used to much more when I was younger adn I am convinced its a blood sugar thing. Drinking a sugary drink like coke or ribena helps.

DD gets this if she doesn't drink enough fluids.
