Do you ever get so low with your disease you consider giving up ....

I have a disease which means I am in constant pain. It varies from pain to terrible pain. I am in the middle of a particularly bad patch and find myself struggling to remember my life that was not consumed by pain and I wonder if everyone wouldn't be better off living their lives without me. I am so worn down within days s the day in day out struggle. Just standing up is an ordeal. It's such a selfish way to think and I am ashamed to think it but it keeps coming into my mind.

Hello slippersmum:
We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources - here. You can also go to the Samaritans' website here, or email them on [email protected].

Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We really hope things start to look up for you soon.

Very kindest
MNHQ
