Should I be worried?!

Last week the whole of the Bomper family went out to Greenwich park in the afternoon. DD2 (2.6 yrs) is a bit of a buggar for running off and we are always chasing and grabbing her, to stop her running into the path of cyclists, rollerskaters etc. When we got home under her armpit and in her elbow joint were red marks where dh had grabbed her, he didn't grab her particularly hard and I thought it odd, but kind of dismissed it. Today we went to a bootfair and she was doing her usual, she has got a trick of just going limp, and hanging off your hand when she wants you to let go, and was doing this with DH today. Whilst we were having dinner I noticed big red marks on her wrists!! The point of this convaluted story is - why on earth does she mark so easily? Is it something I should be worried about? Is it a sign of something nasty?

Go to GP, sometimes its a sign of... something I dont know the name of, when you overbleed and bruise easy etc. I think a blood test will show this. Then again, my DS gets red marks just from holding him all the time, and they go within a few hours... I think his skin might just be sensative.

i do agree with Quooty.....that excessive bruising and overbleeding is not a good sign...but i think that red marks are not neccesarily a sign of anyting sinister....

i am 31 and still mark very easily....and take a while to heal.....
some people just mark easily...if you are concerned , go to the docs and have her checked out.....probabaly nothing to worry about....

Easy bruising can be a sign of anemia, but it doesn't sound like this is bruising really.

Oh, I would talk to your GP about it, though. Sounds like a skin thing, rather than a deeper thing (like bruising). If the damage is deeper, the marked bits would feel lumpy and be sore for her if you touch them, iyswim ...
