My insides just fell out!

My son is 5 months old (baby number 5) and my pelvic floor has always been fine (no incontinence) though I'll admit to slacking on the pelvic floor exercises since I've had him.

I just went to the toilet and my insides came out my vagina!!! A fairly large bulge and I had to push it back up!!

I'm now lying on my back madly doing pelvic floor exercises and wondering what I'm supposed to do!

Any advice? I'm guessing weight lifting at crossfit tomorrow is a bad idea?

I don't bother with classes for that very reason. Look at the website of Michelle Kenway- Oz physio working with women on PFs. She has info on which exercises to avoid or modify, but I bought her DVD Inside Out and it really has most of the exercises you need to keep fit and trim.

Well, I do use the Hab-it DVD as well, but in general I think classes are a very good way to go for pilates as the instructor can advise you on modifying exercises, nearly everyone in my class has some sort of complaint and we all do things a bit differently. I was doing pilates for a long time before I developed my prolapses though, so I knew I could trust her. I'm still wary of going back to conventional keep fit type classes even though I trust my own judgement on what moves are safe and what aren't now.

I'm on week 2 of Piyo by Beachbody and have to say I'm pretty impressed with it so far. It's all low impact, but you really do get a good workout. The first workouts spend a lot of time making sure your alignment is correct, and
there are modifications all through it if you need them.
I'm still working on the old pelvic floor too, though.

That's interesting I'd been looking at PiYo but its so expensive Sad
