A lot of blood in the toilet, now itchy-piles? (Tmi sorry)

I was at a party last night, so late home (driving wasn't drinking if relevant). On arriving home was desperate for the toilet after pooing (normal poo) I realised the bowl was full of blood (I know blood can look like more in water but it seemed a lot) not much there on wiping and nothing afterward.

As it was 1.30am I went to bed but felt a bit worried. This morning I feel ok although back passage feels a bit achey and itchy/stingy.

Is this likely to be piles? Thinking about it I've had a bit of an itch for a week or so in that area which I'd put down to doing an increase in exercises (sweaty). Can't remember when I last poo'd before last night so may have been a day or 2 ago but seemed ok then.

Is this likely to be a pile issue? I know blood can be a bad sign but thinking ache and itch = piles?

Worth seeing go. Ext week or waiting to see how next bowel movement is? (Scared!!)

Sorry for so much info, just feeling a little worried! (Hope you weren't eating lunch!) Grin

Could be piles or an anal fissure

BumIssue · 18/04/2015 13:24

Yes I'm thinking piles. A trip to the chemist might be in order. Thanks!

Was the blood bright red or dark? Bright red 'normal' colour blood indicates a fissure or piles

BumIssue · 18/04/2015 17:35

It was normal red blood.

Have since been again, no blood but achey and itchy so I'm assuming maybe piles.

Was a bit panicked with it looking like so much blood, so late at night but think it's definitely piles now!

I would get this checked! Any new symptoms from anus are always advised to be checked by a GP. Fresh blood from back passage area should always be investigated OP. There are MANY causes. Better to be safe than sorry

ItchyOldBint · 19/04/2015 01:11

Are you OK?

ItchyOldBint · 19/04/2015 01:12

Are you OK OP?

BumIssue · 19/04/2015 14:03

Yes i am ok thanks Smile

I'm sure it is piles but I will try to pop along to the GP this week before work if I can get an appointment. But if it happens again I'll go asap.

Thank you Smile
