Would you see a GP or just hope it goes away?

I hate seeing the GP, it's like I'm always there. Last time I was signed off with stress three months ago. I have a nerve trap thing so one side is tingly, burning, sore all the time.

For the last month I've had a sore boob on the same side. Started underarm, now pretty much sore and tender on one side. No lumps I can feel. Upper back pain same side. Tender to touch.

Would you go?

Yes, I would go. Don't worry about how often you see them- sounds like you need to get checked.

Nolim · 16/04/2015 08:57

I would

SouthWestmom · 16/04/2015 09:12

Okay. If I do go, it's usually because there is an issue - I don't go just to chat!
I'm really worried tbh as I need to be well to look after the dc. I just hate going and talking and feeling like a hypochondriac.

Change in or worsening of symptoms=legitimate reason to visit GP. Better to ask now than leave it until it potentially becomes something that does affect your ability to look after your dc. You've left it a month and it's got worse, not better, so now is the time to ask why without appearing like a hypochondriac and without having stuck your head in the sand for a dangerously long time. So, seize the moment!

Thank you! I will text my mum and see if she can cover the walk in tomorrow.
It feels fuller, sore and the upper back pain is consistent in one place.

Just did that look in the mirror for changes thing and the nipple that side is darker red than the other side so that's weird.

Definitely go to your GP - they should make a next day appointment for you if there's a problem like that.

There are periods in your life when you'll be at the doctor's much more often - doctors accept this - looks like this is that time in your life.

Best of luck.

I am usually a 'wait for it to go away' person, but for a persistent sore boob and underarm that's been there for several weeks I would definitely go.

Hope it's nothing serious.

SouthWestmom · 16/04/2015 14:18

Thanks all, I have made an appointment for later today.
