This on behalf of my sister ...
Her 4 year-old DD has had Thrush almost constantly for the last couple of years. She has seen all sorts of doctors, both here and abroad (lived in USA for a while) but other than Canesten, no-one has ever come up with anything that has really helped. Being so little, she scratches a lot (in public, always a good look ) and probably doesn't wash her hands as well as she should. Sometimes it makes her quite poorly and tearful and Sis is at her wit's end as to what to do next. She's changed her diet, avoiding processed food, yest and what have you, tried BiCarb baths, natural yoghurt, you name it, all to no avail. The paediatrician has now referred her to a gynae, but when she tried to make the appointment, the gynae said they didn't see children as young as that. Anyone got any wise words or ideas as to what she can try next? I've seen other Thrush/Candida threads, but they all seem to apply to adults. Any opinions gratefully received!
