Bang on head - keeping an eye on them?

You know when toddlers get a huge bang on the head (but they're asleep at the time) and people say to 'keep an eye on them' .. are you supposed to try to wake them up? and how awake are you supposed to try to get them?

(DD's buggy fell backwards with a big thump because of weight of veg etc ... she was sleeping and the back was flat back .. of course now she won't wake up properly and I don't know if I'm supposed to be trying to wake her up properly or just let her sleep because she's sleeping anyway)

Thanks Lulumama...I don't normally care about bangs on the head .. its just this was from such a height and with such force the wooden floor shook ...

I hope that does'nt sound too alarmist-I'm sure she is fine but I do think bumps to the head are worth getting checked out
