I have convinced myself that I am allergic/intolerant to milk as I threw up after a hot chocolate today. Weirdly felt better for about an hour then the same pain/sicky thing again.

Keep burping and bringing vomit into my mouth (charming)

tell me what the doctor says

CO2Neutral · 14/04/2015 19:54

if you've never had anything like this before they will probably test for things like gallstones (remember the 3 Fs, fat, fair and forty - the doctor once told me that grrr of course I ticked all of them lol)

ElizabethHoover · 14/04/2015 19:55

Could be a hiatus hernia causing reflux and belching..

PeaceOfWildThings · 14/04/2015 21:08

Well mine hasn't gone either and has also moved to back. I'll be phoning the doctor.

Googling brings me to 'gallstones'.

Not being able to burp is not a good sign. (I can burp, so less urgent). Do tell the doctor that!

MarathonRunnersWife · 14/04/2015 21:18

I had something very similar last year; like an indigestion but slightly lower and a bit of bloating too. I self diagnosed a banana intolerance. I cut them out and haven't had it since. You can become intolerant over time and apparently the ripeness of them can affect you too.

Google it and see if the symptoms match. It was awful for me, really couldn't describe the discomfort all in my chest and belly.

ElizabethHoover · 14/04/2015 21:28

Wow at bananas. I haven't had any forms few weeks!

MajesticWhine · 14/04/2015 21:39

As BigBro said - very likely you have a bit of indigestion exacerbated by a hiatus hernia. it's not gallbladder, as you would feel that on the right hand side. Source : I am a hypochondriac and I know all these things.

ElizabethHoover · 14/04/2015 21:56

Lol. Thanks.

No pain with eating at all. Ask all i have is period pains! (With a coil)

OP posts:
TheoriginalLEM · 14/04/2015 22:05

Still sounds like gallstones to me - the demographic is correct, to a degree but not always! I was fair fat and 35 Grin I had also recently had a baby which exacerbates symptoms.

source - i am a hypochondriac too but also know that gallstones don't read the text books and can give vague and weird symptoms, especially back ache and nausea.

ggirl · 14/04/2015 22:18

Might be a massive hard poo stuck in your system ...nice

ElizabethHoover · 15/04/2015 00:25

its gastritis he says!
Symptoms very typical and my boozy holiday night is a typical catalyst

so i have acid zapping pills

OP posts:
PeaceOfWildThings · 15/04/2015 20:44

Ah, glad you got some help!

I was going to call the surgery after breakfast as soon as the pain started. Only it didn't! I didnt have any coffee?, so I've added that to the list of things to avoid for a while.

ElizabethHoover · 15/04/2015 21:52

have you had a boozy night or two over the holidays? Or overused painkillers?

that can cause it he says, but once you get it it takes ages to get rid of

OP posts:
PeaceOfWildThings · 15/04/2015 22:28

I had a small whisky. Not exactly excessive! And 2 ibuprofen every 4 hours on first day of period. So used as recommended.
