It sounds strange and I actually feel a bit weird about going to my male GP about this but since DH and I last had sex I have had really bad pain in that whole area - itching, burning and persistent most of the time and last night burning so bad I couldn't sleep. At first I thought it was thrush so I have been using canestan for 3 days now and it hasn't worked at all and applying it is painful. Has anyone had these kinds of symptoms? What caused it and how was it treated?

was it unprotected? could be you have become "allergic" to your husbands sperm.

i get it sometimes, fuck knows what he eats/drinks to give himself acid sperm but sometimes it irritates me so much everything swells up and burns for days. i just get some vagasil or lanacane and slather it on until it clears up.

It was protected (condom) which we have always used and I have never had a reaction like this. Good point though - maybe I should try vagasil until Tuesday. Is it OTC?

You can get vagisil and lanacane OTC. I've used both before - don't like vagisil but lanacane isn't awful. You haven't used a new brand or type of condom or anything? Sex wasnt too rough?
