Please help, pelvic floor!

I've had two children, normal vaginal deliveries, 4+ years ago now.

Recently I have been exercising and wetting myself. I'm ok with normal activities but just have no control when exercising.

What can I do without seeing a doctor (which is a royal pain in arse, I've just started a new job and all the appointments are really inconvenient). Any advice would really be appreciated.

Do you do your pelvic floors every day?

HeyMicky · 29/03/2015 20:01

You can buy kegel trainers of various kinds online. 10 mins a day in addition to your pelvic floor exercises. Amazon is your friend

wholewoman.com/

This really changed my life although it is more about prolapse (of which urinary incontinence is a symptom). Disregard the hippy earth mother stuff and just get down to the exercises because they really help.

Hab-It DVD and website. Loads of exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor, can be done at home in about half an hour - is NOT just kegels.

Messyisthenewtidy are there exercises on that website? I can't see any

Google Gussiegrips- youtube and posts on MN.

Also recommend Oz women's physio Michelle Kenway- loads of info on her website and she does DVDs to use at home.

The basic regime is 3 x 10 long pull-ups daily and 10 x 3 short ones.
But you have to do them properly.

Other exercises like some Pilates and anything high impact will make it worse.
