I have taken her to the doctors but he said its nothing to worry about, she has always suffered with it, when she was a week old we had to take her to hospital as she was passing blood, we were told she may have an alergy to dairy but they did'nt test her. This time they have tested her and im waiting to hear back from the doctor.
The doctor told me to slow down on weaning her as she's only 7 months old, i have cut her back and she is now eating baby rice and fruit/banana but she seems to be getting worse not better.

Could this just be a bug that she cant sheake off?

She seems fine in herself and has not lost any weight etc.

my ds very rarely has solid stools (once a week) he is 18 months.... he is still breast feed though. gp says nothing to worry about and seen as it has always been the case have to admit i am not worried!!!

my ds1 had very loose stools until he was 3.5, he still does at least 50% of the time. There's nothing wrong with him, our GP is completely sure of that, he eats and sleeps well - I was told it's probably down to the high fruit/veg diet he has. He's 4.1 now and does solid poos more often - don't know why!!

Are you breastfeeding? If so, could you try and decrease your dairy intake yourself and see what effect it has on her?
If not, you could always try a different formula, have a look at this . If it works you can ask your gp to prescribe it so it's free.

I don't blame you for being worried, I would be, and was when my DS had the same kind of thing. However that doesn't mean there is a major problem. In my son's case he had had a hospital stay with antibiotics and he had tests to rule out hospital bugs etc. We eventually did a big exclusion diet under the care of a nutritionist. There was a slight imnprovement. But to be honest I think he just grew out of it.

Giving her some acidophilus powder designed for babies might be a good move, as whether it's a bug or allergy-related it will help her stomach bacteria. Good luck!
