Dd is in pain, how can I help her?

Last night dd (3 years) hurt her arm. I didn't actually see what happened. I took her to A & E who Xrayed it and confirmed nothing is broken. They advised to just give Calpol.
The calpol doesn't seem to be helping. Shes screamed nearly all night and today she has just been sitting on the sofa and crying every time she moves.
Is there anything stronger I can give her? Would putting it in a sling help? (not that I would know how to do that). Or should I take her back to our GP?

Def go to your GP. Nobody should be in that much pain, poor wee thing .

Can she tell what happened?

You can give her ibuprofen as well as calpol but if she is still in that much pain I'd be inclined to get her checked over again just to be sure.

She says she slipped trying to pick up some cake she had dropped on the floor. I was in the room so I don't think she could have actually fallen. She must have put her arm out to stop herself.

The GP opens at half 4, if shes no better I'll pop her down.
