It's been two years since I started my office job and sitting for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week is starting to take a toll on me. Every day, my head is spinning while sitting on the chair.
I have low blood pressure in general. Coffee became my best friend and I always stand up and walk around whenever I have the chance during the work day. Even got into the habit of doing stretching exercises while sitting.
After work, I exercise - sometimes running, sometimes swimming. But, no matter how much I exercise after work, the next day I get woozy on the chair yet again. It seems nothing can make up for these 40 hours a week I spend sitting on a chair. And, not only that, I feel like my overall alertness is declining in the long term. I'm constantly tired, even though I always get 7-8 hours of sleep.
Now, I realize what people mean when they say sitting can kill you. Wondered if I should quit and never look for an office job ever again (a few colleges really quit because of that), but it's really hard to make this decision, when your job pays well and you're actually good at it.
So, I'm looking for advice. How do I stop the wooziness at work? Coffee, exercise after work, walking around during work, stretching on the chair, good night sleep, forgot to say I also drink lots of water during the day. What did I miss?
