Get her to lie down on the floor and shut her eyes

Drop from a height into corner of eyes then get her to blink fast, it will go in

God I had a nightmare with this!

Also what really helped, I got some saline drops and let her do it to me first.

Sit on her, arms pinned.

HOrrible, but if won't take the sage advice recommended by CD then its the other option

really I would try the saline ones and then her on the floor first

Pinnig down is traumatic for all concerned ime

Maybe wrap her in a towel in a swaddley way

daisy1999 · 25/10/2006 18:59

I did it while my dd slept. Just move her onto her back, push the eylid slightly and put a drop in the corne of her eye.

Wrap her tightly(ish) in a large towel or sheet, with her arms by her sides. Kind of like swaddling a baby. I then found that propping on a beanbag would give a good angle to drop them in.

Lots of cuddles & love afterwards.

Oh and unless it is v bad I wouldn't worry too much. I was told by GP last week that they have stopped prescribing for conjuctivitis as it will get better by itself. They only prescribe if it is no better/still getting worse on day 5.

CHAPStheDoorForTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2006 22:41

get a prescription for the cream and put it on her when she is sleeping. even if you just get it on her lashes some of it will melt in. and lets face it some is better than none

Sorry me again!!!

He was right. Started improving the very next day - all gone by 5th day.

CHAPStheDoorForTrickOrTreat · 25/10/2006 22:45

true 2p2p1, only reason we got a prescription was cause the nursery would only take the chap if he was getting cream. was a gunk exclusion otherwise
