Ended up in a&e last week agonising back pain. They were excellent no complaints at all. Follow up app with physio this week. Didn't inroduce herself spent about 5 mins with me didnt examine me told me three exercises said she didn't have a print out of them didn't tell me how often or how many or how long to do them it was muscular and to come back in two weeks. Saw a physio privately yesterday spent an hour I have damaged disc in my neck and nerve damaged he said although the exercises I had been given were not incorrect in his opinion it was far far to soon as everything was still far too unstable. I such a shame the nhs outstanding at one visit and I am so thankful for that but hopeless at other app.

If you're not happy with the NHS physio you should get in touch and complain in an objective way like you have done in your post.
She is probably very restricted in her time allocation for patients or possibly quite junior. These things are a result of cost cutting generally rather than being an individual's fault. Although there is always time to make introductions.
One thing I was told as a physio student was that if I was going to make a patient travel to an appointment to see me then it had to be worth their while coming in. It doesn't sound like you felt your appointment was worth traveling to.

Thank you viewofthehills I don't know about complaining officially I sort of feel guilty because I agree with your point on time restraint and cost cutting. This lady was not junior. I think I would say if anything the other end of her career it was just her job which she didn't seem to be particularly enjoying like she had been doing it for ever . Where as the care in a &e was exceptional caring definitely a feel of vocation from doctors to nurse's . Think I just am shocked by difference. I will carry on with private physio and cancel nhs one. I will think about complaining but I do appreciate the difficulties within the health service.

Of course, some people are just like you say and have long since got tired of the job and can't be bothered any more.
It's easy for me to say complain, it's not that I am very good at doing it myself.
