My usual supplier of Omega 3s has no stock until Nov. Which should I buy? We'll run out tomorrow

ds has been having Brain Boosters from Healthspan, which are Omega 3 oil, orange flavour but WITHOUT aspartame or other artificial flavours / colours (unlike the dreaded haliborange)

What can I buy to tide us over. I'm pretty sure he will just swallow unflavoured capsules.

I'm wary eyeQ cos I've heard it can cause problems with some kids.

Preferably need something I can get on the high street, as I don't want to wait for mail-order if poss.

Hi, try Cytoplan - select the "I am Client/Customer of practitioner" option to enter the site.
I use their Nourish I.Q for my ds (3).

Can't guarantee re the additives but I know they generally don't use any of those mentioned and they're also very good at answering your queries.

Sorry, just read your "dont want mail order" bit

I can recommend Eskimo Kids - a much better alternative to EyeQ in my experience.

I get mine from a stall on the local market. 5ml contains 410mg of EPA and 280mg of DHA. If you can find it (possibly in a small backstreet chemist with dusty shelves) then grab some, it's great and lasts 2 months. It has "tutti-frutti" taste and ds seems to quite like it provided he can wash it down with his drink.

How about some normal omega3 oil from boots? The unflavoured capsules as you said your ds will just swallow them whole. Just check that they don't contain vitamins too otherwise they should be fine, I'm sure the pharmacists can advise you too!

Cheers.

The only reason I want high-street is cos we are runing out. Healthspan said they would have stocks this week, but now don't.

I'll nip into boots tomorrow and try those. I think he'll just swallow them (he does with fruit pastilles for no reason I can work out), but with 7 y.o.s you can't be sure can you?

My DS who's 3 chews them sometimes though! Yuck...he doesn't seem to mind them though, but smells of fish for the rest of the day...
