Ovary stuck to uterus - endometriosis?

I had a scan today to check my cervix for a coil (they were struggling to get it in) and during the scan they discovered that is one of my ovaries is stuck to my uterus (the other one is where it should be) which can be a sign of endometriosis. I am pretty worried tbh as I know it can have an effect on your fertility. I really don't suffer with my periods, they are short and light so it had never occurred to me that something could be wrong in there.

Any experiences?

I have had endometriosis for 30 years and during this time my ovaries have each been stuck to all sorts of weird places. Luckily it didn't affect my fertility at all and I got pregnant very easily each time so it doesn't always follow. My symptoms were mainly pain, especially when an ovary was attached to the abdominal wall. A laparoscopy should sort it out - they separate the tissues with a laser and I think they can put a mesh-like thing in to stop it happening again. Your periods sound normal so it may be only very mild endo.
Whatever you do, don't google. I was diagnosed in my early 20's, went straight to the library to research it (no internet in those days) and spent three years convinced I wouldn't be able to have children. The very first time my DH (well, fiancée at that point) and I dtd I got pregnant (and then married very quickly!)

I also have an ovary stuck to my uterus. Plus loads of adhesions in the depths of my pelvis which have trapped a cyst behind my womb. They don't know if it is damage from pelvic inflammatory disease or endo. I don't have any symptoms or raised ca125 which would be more likely with endo.

Have you been referred to a gynae? You need an expert opinion and will likely need a laparoscopy.

Thank you for your replies. I am under gynae so they said they will report the results back to her and go from there. It is the waiting and the worry that is stressful.

rederos it is comforting to know you TTC with no problems
