Alternative Therapy - which would be most suitable?

Can anyone give me some information on alternative therapies?

In the past year or two, I have been diagnosed with various health problems - epilepsy, heart problems, possible asthma, back pain, and lots of other minor things. I have been seeing conventional doctors and a chiropractor for the back pain, but I'm sure there must be some alternative therapy (reiki? shiatsu?) that can help. I am really fed up of getting constant illnesses - i think my body must need some kind of help? (if I knew anything about chakras, I'm sure mine are unaligned )

In addition, my personal life is pretty unsettled too - I find it really difficult juggling the children/life/my partner, am very unsettled about my future. I really think I could do with some help. can anyone give me any info? tia.

reiki reiki reiki reiki

it's amazing --- had treatment for my bad back and it was amaaaaaazing - and all without being touched

and had my chakras realigned ! very odd, but comforting and lovely, i slept much better and felt lighter and happier

emotional and physical wellbeing so intertwined a holistic approach makes perfect sense

sorry you are feeling ick though....

probably - but not sure as mine was through a recommendation - lots of mind body soul fairs have stalls where you can have taster sessions of these sorts of treatmnets

have a look in your local paper , or look for ads in health food shops and health centres locally....

It sounds likw a lot of your problems are down to stress (though possibly not epilepsy, although that can be exacerbated by stress) Google "registered and licenced complementary therapists". (There are a lot of untrained, unregulated people out there). If you look up ITEC, or the Association of Complementary Therapists you should be able to get some contacts. I am a holistic massage therapist and work with cancer patients. Many therapists are also Reiki practitioners. Licenced practitioners are regulated, trained and insured, so worth choosing. If you live in North London I know some good people.

I agree that alot of my problems are caused/exacerbated by stress - but it is strange, I don't actually feel stressed (or am not aware of it) alot of the time - I wonder if I somehow "internalise" my stress and this causes physical problems and I somehow learn to release it.

I live in Brighton.

Id either try reiki, or homeopathy
Reiki IS fantastic, I'm doing my practitioners level next month.
