Oh god, poor you. I have suffered horribly with teeth problems during pregnancies. What you can take depends how preg you are.,
Up until the last trimester you can take ibuprofen as an emergency, that is for a little while until the problem gets sorted. When my tooth probs were really bad the doc prescribed me a huge box of co -dydramol. good luck !!!

If you've got ibuprofen, take it. It will be better for the baby not to have you mega stressed over the pain and it wiil be fine to do that until you see the dentist.

How's the tooth, better I hope. Did the dentist sort things out?

I had wisdom tooth pain when pregnant and b/feeding. I used teething gel, a strong mouthwash and paracetamol.

alibobble · 17/10/2006 13:59

you can take co-codamol when pregnant. Try gargling with it?

Hiya - I had toothache during pregnancy and put clove oil in the hole (nice, eh?). Didnt realise you could have dental work during pregnancy, so ended up with a root canal in the end! If you get it again, try abit of clove oil on a cotton bud... dont swallow any!!
