I find the final hour before you can take the next lot of paracetamol the worst.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 23/12/2014 18:35

I have this. Keep going through phases of feeling better, and then suddenly overcome with weakness and have to collapse for a bit.

Tummy not 100% either, despite it seeming to be 'just' a cold. Have lost 2-3 pounds this week which is unheard of this close to Christmas. Must be better.

SisterNancySinatra · 23/12/2014 18:41

Got terrible cold symptons today and feeling really weepy, my suitcase hit me on the head as I was getting it from top of wardrobe and I felt like crying and crying .

furcoatbigknickers · 23/12/2014 18:43

I do feel bad for you lot, sound really ill. At least DH on annual leave and I can go out at a push. Took dd3 to see santa today.

wildernessagogo · 30/12/2014 16:55

Just so you know... It's still going. Travels from one side of my throat to the other and back again, taking in alternate ears as it goes. Pissed off with it now. Must have consumed half my body weight in paracetamol amongst all the Xmas chocs! Aaaaaagh!

Much sympathy to all. It's hard to believe that 'just' a virus can make you feel so incredibly awful isn't it? I even trotted off to the doc yesterday because my chest was so painful and started crying in the waiting room with the effort of it all! Couldn't stop, was really embarrassing.. She was extremely unsympathetic actually, made me feel like a bit of a time waster, but as I had pleurisy and pneumonia a couple of years ago and have got similar symptoms now I thought it best to get checked out. But it's Just A Virus, so now I feel like a shocking wuss as well!

Hello. Another seeking sympathy......just got it today. Felt a bit snotty yesterday, thought it just a sniffle.....however in the last few hours have gone down hill quickly. Can't stop shivering, aching all over, kept falling asleep today and have an outrageous thirst.

In bed with a lemsip, the ipad and a hot water bottle and feel. Dry sorry for myself.

So empathy to all fellow sufferers.

Lagoonablue · 30/12/2014 22:11

Very sorry not dry sorry. Ffs.

Longsufferingmum2 · 31/12/2014 16:51

I send hugs to you all. I have mumps. Sad

lazybint · 31/12/2014 17:09

I have it too - sympathy to everyone else that has it, it's horrible Hmm

Mine started with ear pain and sore throat on Sunday evening, today I've felt worse than ever. Shivery, achey, streaming nose the lot.

I started a new job last Monday and have had this Monday Tuesday and today off sick. I feel so bad taking time off sick so soon but there was no way I could go in. I work in a Drs surgery so think I picked it up there.

Hope we're all on the mend soon
