My Ds has just one, two weeks ago a red spotty rash appeared down the right side of his nose. Have tried aqueous cream, aveeno cream and allergencis but nothing seems to be helping. Doc says they don't think Eczema - but what and what can I put on it, looks awful and is spreading around his eye. Has anyone had an similar experiences?

Could it be impetigo - is it weepy or crusty ?

mairimac · 05/10/2006 13:40

not weepy or crusty, just small red spots with a red area underneath. Some one suggested could be a form of baby eczema from teething? But he's been teething badly for months now - why all of a sudden?

Does he have a runny nose? Does he sleep on his front? Saliva from night dribbling causes a rash on my dd.

yes has a runny nose and some drooling right now. I could agree with the teething story but what can I use on it, any miracle creams that can be used on babies faces?

Have you tried vaseline?

twickersmum · 05/10/2006 14:38

have you tried "Cheek and Nose Soother" from Dr. Greenfingers?
It is totally chemical free, 100% natural etc.. really fantastic for the kind of chapping you get.
you can get it at www.mamatoto.co.uk (i have a free delivery code too KF1ZZ140)

do you think these products are okay to use on something that looks red and nasty, it's not dry or chapped, but more like small pimples with a surface area that is red.
sorry not being very helpful.

if it is pimply then i don't know... this is more for chapped skin (like you get when children constantly lick under their lips, or when out in the cold). sorry - i would see the doctor (a different one this time) if it's getting worse.
