Thrush/vulval itching and olive leaf extract

Thought I'd share this as someone might find it useful.

I've been plagued with mid-cycle thrush/vulval itching for the past year or so. I try to avoid pharmaceuticals when I can, so haven't gone that route, but the list of complementary things I've tried is rather long.

I'm currently visiting my daughter in a tropical country and I bought olive leaf extract for its' antiviral/antibacterial qualities.

In less than two daysof taking it, the thrush and associated discomfort disappeared.

I still have to have a full cycle to know if it is a long term solution, but I'm so pleased as I was really worried about vulval discomfort in the hot country that I'm currently visiting.

You have had thrush for a year but didn't treat it because you don't like pharmaceuticals? Shock

Just second half of cycle - and no, I didn't treat it.

That's great! It's recommended for as an anti fungal for treating candida - and thrush can be A fungal infection

Do you ingest it? Or rub it on?

Ingest. I've got a bottle of tablets - I'm taking it to reduce the risk of catching a tummy bug/tropical infection as I'm visiting a hot country. The disappearance of the thrush is an unexpected side effect.
