Yikes.

Hoping that this doesn't come to pass. Judging from how things have transpired so far though, I worry that it is an underestimation.

Actually, not so sure about the NHS, but certainly a CDC.
We need people with experience of disease control to take over and teach appropriate procedures.
As in Spain, it's not for an assistant nurse to be able to clean up properly after a 30 min video, or whatever they had.
They needed surgical procedures and better.
I work on cat 3 labs (and not the highest grades among these) and it takes time to train people to avoid contamination (usually of the cultures). It's very easy to forget what you've just been told and people need practice.
Sadly, as hospital infections show, hygiene standards in hospitals could be a lot better. Where I work, doctors go to the canteen in their white coats. (not UK)

There has been footage on the news about British military practicing and re-practicing the suiting up and de-suiting (is there such a verb?) as they recognise errors in either procedure as a particularly risky time. They were doing it in pairs, with someone with a clipboard calling instructions on what to do next, and observing the action and ticking off a check list.
