Quick threadworm question....

dd had been itching (vaginal mostly) on and off, not badly, for a couple of weeks at most. Treated for thrush, in case it was that, and on Monday night treated (Ovex) for threadworm in case it was that....including family-treatment, washing, hoovering, et al

Now its Thursday, and the itching that seemed better for a day or two is back again - could threadworms come back again this fast?!? Or not be killed off by Ovex? Or does this mean it probably isn't worms at all and more likely allergy and/or thrush?

you normally repeat the Ovex after a week or so, so not sure if that's an indication of egg hatching time...hmmm.
what about vulvar vaginitis ?

Thanks bundle - the Ovex says repeat in 2 weeks, I think (will check packet) but its not quite 3 days.
Will try the cream the GP gave us (he did'nt think it was TW, but only on the basis that I hadn't seen one - so I've taken the cautious route, given that I'm 30 wks pregnant) which is antifungal, antibacterial, antivaginitis

ooer, does what it says on the box! 3 days does seem quick.
you often don't see the worms, apparently.

Sigh...doesn't it!

Had a look when putting cream/nappy on before nap - slight pinkness around outside of labia, but not red or sore looking inside. Am beginning to think maybe eczema - aaargh, this could be a whole new post

Thanks again, bundle.
