I feel like crying!
My DD1 is 13 months, doesn't really have juice, sweets or anything like that.
We try to brush her teeth twice a day..but yes. 13 months old. Its not exactly easy!

We noticed this odd hole yesterday and today ive googled it and its tooth decay. I am heartbroken. I feel like worlds worst mum. On further googling i found out its because she still has her bottle of milk in the night and her teeth are not cleaned aswell as they should.

Has anyone experienced this before?!
Its only the one tooth at the top.
I could just cry.
Im about to buy one of those baby brushes to see if thats any easier.

Don't beat yourself up it is done now, but try and get her off the night bottle and get an appointment with a dentist so he can give advice on diet, brushing etc.
One tip given to me by our dentist is to stand behind them when brushing their teeth....he was a no nonsense type with 4 kids if his own?
I would go for a very soft brush and perhaps brush your teeth at the same time as at that age they like to mimic.

I found what looked like a hole in dd's tooth when she was a baby. Dentist had a look and said it wasn't - it was a stain. I was panicking because mine had milk from a bottle and fell asleep immediately afterwards, so we were cleaning them before the milk.

Get it checked out by a dentist - you might be worrying over nothing.

Dentist told us we had to get the teeth clean somehow. Advised to wrap in a towel with one entertaining/distracting, whilst the other brushed. It was a bit of a war but it seemed to work. Eventually she cleaned them herself and has completely forgotten the battle we used to have. When she was really small we tried to make her laugh so that she'd open her mouth.

I hope it turns out to be nothing. But if not, it's only one baby tooth and you can take steps to keep them clean in the future.

I would get it checked out as it is very young for tooth decay to develop especially if she doesnt have foods that would attack the tooth enamel.
