Anyone had to have a sigmoidoscopy

I've got to have one on Monday :(
I know I have to have it as I've been unwell for months and need this test but am worried. Also I had assumed I would get laxatives beforehand but the letter say I need an enema so I'm nervous about that too now :(

Bit late to add - I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy (not using the same tube I hope ) in July .

YY to the prep being worse. I had very sparse food the day before my prep and woke at 6am fantasising about breakfast. After 7am, no food.

I hate lemonade and Lucozade with a passion now

Weirdly, I didn't feel hungry, sort of light and floaty.
I had sedation, I didn't want to be 'there' , detatched and out of it was good for me.

You were brave 70 I don't think I could have had that done in all honesty. Hope it helped you get some answers

Oooh I think this is what in being sent back for . Had a two minute camera up bum job today and then was told if get an appointment for a proper higher up look.
