hi essbee-as you know i was struck down with labs 2 years ago and failed to comp[ensate from it, have also had re-occurances.
the chaNCES are youve had labs.
the virus attacks your labyrinth in your inner ear causing damage to it, this thencauses your brain to receive condused messages from your inner ear, hence the dizziness, labs can take up to 8 weeks to go completely, in that time , its important that you do as much as you feel comfortable with, in order to help adaption, this is where your brain, compensates for the inner ear damage, most people make a full recovery, i didnt because i was given vestibular suppresents by my gp and ordered to rest.
the more you move around, the more dizzy and drunk you will feel, dont be alarmed, its a good sign as it means the brain is learning tro deal with the dizziness, you may find going into shops and supermarkets extremely unpleasant as your balance system is not working properly.
do not drive until you feel much better.
