Pain, bloating and losing weight.. IBS or should I push for re testing?

I've always had bowel trouble..mostly not being able to go. Good diet and still need suppositories , worse post kids as have a rectocele and mild cystocele and had a hysterectomy at 35. I have lived with intermittent pain as long as I can remember

This August I had what the PP thinks was a partial obstruction... very painful. Stopped eating, fluids only and movicol sorted it (on it permanently now) But after eating just a normal takaway as a treat on friday the pain ..the pain has been unreal.. right sided this time, giving me vaginal pain from the pressure. I am not constipated and do not have cramps like I'd expect from IBS but a deep deep burning soreness. I have had this in the same place a few times and it;'s miserable.

I just weighed myself and have lost half a stone this month. Not intentional as I am slim anyway. I feel rough as can be and also have a cracked sore tongue which may be as Im run down.

Some years ago I did have a colonoscopy which showed some inflammation but nothing more was said.. no meds or anything.

Is it worth me going back and asking to be seen again? I hate the thought of being prodded about and being told 'it's just IBS eat more fruit' (I do!!!) But on the other hand I'm fed up of feeling so rubbish.

Go back. You should be more closely supervised with your medical history. You shouldn't be permanently on movicol. That's not recommended

Yes go back. Ask for a referral,
DH was told he had IBS for a long while before being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.

Lem, it is for chronic constipation (my DS1 who is autistic has been on it for 6 years now following a particularly nasty impaction that needed hospitalisation) and I've been put on it to prevent another obstruction but I don't like it . But if it's more than IBS, I agree it's not the right solution:(

I'm just so tired of feeling so rough :(

Sorry don't want to sound like a smart Alec but my dh has been on that for about 2 years and his consultant told him he needed to wean himself off it. He suffers from chronic constipation too. The consultant said it really isn't a long term solution. He has cut down but he has to be so careful with his diet as a result.
