My 14 month old daughter will not drink milk in anyway, from a bottle or beaker even if i add nestle flavours to it. she does have cheese, yogurts, and milk with her breakfast but not everyday. i am worried she isnt having enough calcium.

Does anyone know any other foods that are high in calcium or anyway i can get her to drink milk?

Thanks

mine is 16 months and wont either. pediatrician told me not to worry - its just a cheap and easy waay of getting calcium into them. I try to make sure she has a yog. or cheese or hidden milk every day. cheese sauce goes doen well here, custard and yogs. She also likes some smoothie type drinks. and def don't tell anyone on here cos i'll get lynched but she also get ice cream sometimes

i really wouldn't worry, kids in the UK drink far too much milk anyway!
as long as she is eating well otherwise then i would think yourself lucky. my 11 month old has hardly any milk, my 2.5 year old would drink milk all day and no other food if i let her. My 11 month old is definitely the healthier (and hardly ever has colds or a runny nose ... mucus overload is caused by dairy apparently!)

my 20mth old has'nt drank milk for about a year. he just wont! you can get calciu from green leafy vegetables and infact there isn't much calcium in milk to start with!

Oh, blimey - she'll be fine!

Give her a milky breakfast each day, make sure she has some cheese and yoghurt.

DS1 very rarely has milk. He goes through phases when he wants to drink it, but when he stopped bfeeding (was down to one feed by 15m) it never occurred to me to replace it with cows milk.
