How long till the bleeding stops

Hi..

Iv just started on

TRANEXAMIC ACID 500ML

AND

MEFENAMIC ACID 500ML

to stop my periods.

Any idea how long till the blood stops?

Any experience would be great

Mefanamic and Tranexamic acid?? They don't stop the bleeding. Northisterone does stop bleeding, but only until you stop taking it. Iron just replaces the iron you would have lost while bleeding. You need iron in your blood to bind oxygen to your red blood cells.

Is the bleeding heavy?

It has stopped it

From being really heavy, i abruptly stopped within 6 hours

You need to go back to your GP and ask for an ultrasound. Polyps can cause excessive bleeding so they should check that everything's OK. They can bleed after sex too.

YY to going back to the GP to ask for checks for polyps, fibroids or anything else.

I should have said, however, that my one off was actually two periods. The bleeding stopped naturally after about 30 days first time, I had a week clear then it started again for another 2 weeks before I eventually saw my doctor. (Sorry, I'd forgotten that detail)
