and I have no ideas what the rules are

I have an ongoing diagnosis of a heart electrical issue, so nothing actually diagnosed or treatment yet

I was at a theme park when I collapsed during the day, staff came over and gave me a wheelchair to use, I also got to use the disabled access to rides as I couldn't stand in a queue for 30 plus minutes.

as I can still walk around most of the time and just feel weak when I have an attack is it OK for me to use a wheel chair when needed? last week I did a two mile walk with no issues Blush

also what are the wheelchair rules?

Sorry you felt so poorly.

Not sure what you mean by rules, though? None that I'm aware of. Bit like a pushchair only bigger.Smile

There aren't any rules lol
I use a wheelchair when I need to.. I have episodic ataxia ( get wobbly) and use one when I'm wobbly. My DS2 has hypotonia (weak muscle tone) and has always used one.. when he needs to. Other times he jumps out and walks.

They are just a tool to make life easier, nothing more or less!

Thank you for the words of support.

I know nothing about being in a wheelchair and am only coming to terms with the fact I can't do some things - in May I ran 5k in 35 mins and yesterday I couldn't manage a day in a theme park!

Oh, poor you. Getting used to new restrictions is so crap. I would often benefit from using a wheelchair but unfortunately sitting makes my pain even worse. I do get assistance at the airport and so on, though because you have to decide how best to allocate what strength you have. Places like theme parks and airports are just so huge.

When I have used one I hate the feeling of being 'underneath' everyone else. Kind of invisible iykwim?

So, no rules and yes, you can 'bump' into anyone who stares rudely or speaks as if you aren't there. Wink
