Hi Everyone, sorry if I WAFFLE ABIT HERE BUT NEED SOME INFO/ADVISE/COMFORT!

I went to see Robbie Williams on Tuesday and during the concert I collapsed. I knew I was going to and became very scared/frantic and then proceeded to collapse and come roung 4-5 times. I also shamefully wet myself and when i came round in the first aid tent I had a god awful headache. I have felt unwell and headache since.

I went to doctors and they took some blood to check sugar levels etc and they are all normal.

they are have now banned me from driving and are sending me to see a neurologist for epilepsy tests!

I am so scared and was wondering if any body to offer me any advise info on the subject.

thanks xx

Hello Georgiesmum, dont know if it will help but my DS1 had a "fit" some time ago and was refured to the hospital for test for epilepsy.
They were very good and not intrusive at all, we found out he had some night time epilepsy and was monitered for a year.
It does sound as if you did have a fit but it could have been a one off from the lights, the nurse that traeted my son first told me "most people will have a fit at sometime in their lives and may never have another one".
Please dont think it was shamful to wet yourself either.
I hope the test go well for you.

My DS had sticky pads stuck to his head, i would think it would be the same for adults, the worst side effect was getting the sticky gel out of his hair.
Please dont worry too much and im sure that the hopital staff will answer all your questions, this might help also.

My dp has (had) epilepsy. Chances are that if you develop it as an adult then its either a one off as has previously been said or it eventually goes away. Don't be ashamed, these things happen. My dp was doubly incontinent when he had seizures and those were medical people they've seen and dealt with worse. The best thing you can do is get yourself fully checked out so you know what you are dealing with and I will keep my fingers crossed for you that it was a one off caused by the lights, excitement and crowds.
Good luck

Hi Georgiesmum, I can imagine how you feel. I've had two seizures as an adult and it is horrible not having a clue what was happening/what you were doing for a period of time. Were you at the concert with friends who witnessed the attack? They might help in ascertaining whether you did have a seizure. To me it sounds possible that you just passed out/feinted.

As kimi said it is likely that they won't immediately assume you are epileptic - my nerologist said that everyone can have a couple of seizures without it being a real worry. I had my second seizure in Guatemala where they immediately put me on some strong, very old fashioned medication which I couldn't come off for years - if it had been in the UK I would probably never have been prescribed anything

As for the tests, don't worry - if anything they should just reassure you! I had a brain scan and an EEG where they stick electrodes to your head and check the activity in your brain.

Thanks for all you kind words & info

i am hoping it was a one off, I still dont feel right though, which is worrying me!

My Friends I was with have told me that I became very paniced and said that I felt weird and sick them apparently I went all Starry eyed and vacant and walked towards my sister at which point I collapsed. Apparently my eyes were wide open but rolling back in my head. I apparently came round 4-5 and kept shouting to get me out out and then I remember being pulled over the barrir. thats it!

Dotors dont think it was a normal fainting hence the tests.

i am still scared tho!
