I'm 58 and developed this after I resumed riding earlier this year and went on a long trail riding holiday. I Think too much tugging on the reins to stop my mount eating all the time did the damage, not helped by also sorting out my garden full of weeds. After about 12 weeks of pain and discomfort it is almost entirely better. Whist I am hoping to improve my riding and use my legs to move the horse on in these situations I am not a bit concerned about doing anther long distance ride and having it flare up again. Should I try using an elbow support when I haven't got the problem ? DH has suggested weight training to increase muscle strength in my forearms would that work?
