My mother died at 42 from a heart attack, it was her fourth, the first was in her late twenties. She was type one diabetic which I know probably caused this. BUT my grandmother who was not diabetic also had heart problems which started in her late twenties, I don't know what but she was I'll enough at some point during the war that my grandfather was told she would die. They made arrangements for the care of my uncle etc but she didn't die until she was 86!. It is a family story I was told often but there is no one left alive who would know the truth about it so that's all I have'

I am now 30, I have been on blood pressure tablets for 3 years and suffer palpitations although I have been told this is fine as long as they are not painful. I did have an ECG which was normal a few years ago after I got a very high heart rate when pregnant.

To be honest I am just really worried about things and I feel like I just need to actually find out if I am ok or not!

If I go to the doctors with just the above are they going to think I am just over anxious (which maybe I am!) . What would you do?

I'd go to the docs. Sounds very reasonable to me that you are concerned. Best outcome is you find out nothing is wrong. Worst is that something is identified which can then be treated or managed appropriately.

Don't see why you wouldn't go...
