anaemia very iron deficiency

Just wondering whether someone can explain to me my blood test results. Two of mine have come back abnormal. The receptionist said that I am iron deficient and anaemic. She said that these were the two abnormal results. She said the ferritin was 8. Can anyone explain because I thought these two were one and the same. Also is 8 really bad? Thanks all. Feeling a bit anxious!

they can do that bunface which ones are you taking ? i was taking ferrious fulate i think called (forgive spelling ) 210mg 3x a day ...my tummy always playing up IBS anxiety tummy so i couldnt tell ...lol
i took mine with orange juice and on a full tummy as can make you feel bit sick ....
hope you got some sleep last night , it is horrid ..are you going back for blood tests anytime soon see if there better ?

Hope you're feeling brighter tonight Ballofworry. I've been good for nothing today and sat around feeling rotten. I'm taking ferrous sulphate 3 times a day. Horrible stuff! Feeling low in mood today and can't be bothered! I slept better last night thanks. How you feeling now?
