Feels like Thrush/UTI, told it is not....

I had a Lap/HSG back in May of this year. Within hours of waking up from the surgery I had severe itching around my urethral opening/clit. It also burned like hell to pee. We informed the surgery place and they said it can be a common side effect from all the dye, disinfectant, as well as catheter.

As some days went on the itch subsided as did the burning, then it all got really bad and everything returned. I even posted about it a few times hoping to find some answers. Rang surgery place and they assumed UTI so got put on one time dose antibiotics.

It has been months now and I have been back and forth to get tested for UTI's, Thrush, as well as other bacterias or fungal infections and everything comes back clean.

Sometimes it burns when I pee, sometimes not. The most annoying part is the itch, which is getting worse with all of this heat.

I have tried treating it as a yeast infection several times, as well as using stuff to help promote growth of healthy bacteria as the clinic told me there was a poor level of good bacteria around.

I should also mention the area where I itch like hell is also sore like hell, some days it even hurts to walk.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I feel disgusting .... :(

Could it be an allergic reaction? Perhaps you could try a combined hydrocortisone/ fungal like Daktacort, and an antihistamine?

Would an allergic reaction last this long though?

Well, it could if it's caused some long standing inflammation in the area, which is entirely possible- have you tried steroid/ hydrocortisone creams?

I have not tried cream directly in the area, but I did take some tablets a few weeks back with no real relief.
Going to call a urologist today and try and get an appointment.
