Ive heard that people with M.E can really struggle with labour as they get too tired, i dont really suffer too much anymore with M.E i get ocassional symptoms and quite tired at times but not sure if i should be worried or tell the midwife. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would let your midwife know. Sometimes, after the birth (due to change in hormones, the trauma of the birth and the sheer exhaustion of looking after a newborn) can trigger a relapse of ME. I am not saying it will trigger one, just that is sometimes happens so don't panic and think you will go downhill but it would be wise to talk to your midwife about your thoughts of the birth and make sure she is aware of your ME. hth

Hi LeBe. Just to reassure you that people with ME can cope with labour and a new baby. I suffered up until about month 7 of my pregnancy when suddenly I felt much better. Up until that point I had been seeing a consultant to monitor the condition and was v worried about whether my energy levels would last through labour. But happily my stamina was fine - and labour went on for 48 hours!! Your midwife should be able to talk through options for managing your labour with a view to maintaining your energy. I know that in my case they considered effective pain management in the early stages important in preventing fatigue. Good luck with it all.
