Why are you taking B vits? Do you actually need them? Which B vits, exactly? Are you pregnant?

Some vitamins are water soluble which means if you take more than your body needs, you just end up with very expensive wee. Can't remember if the B vits are, but will look it up when I get a chance.

It is normal biglips

Ok, have checked back, B is water soluble so any excess will just be excreted. BUT there's a Safe Upper Limit for Vitamin B6 of 10mg/day - that's from all sources, food and supplements. So if your tablets contain 5mg, they could be taking you over the Safe Upper Limit.

You don't have to panic if you go over the SUL for one particular day, just not great to do on a long-term basis. Side-effects are numbness and mild tingling in arms and legs. Which doesn't sound that terrible, but it's a sign that your body can't deal with the amount you are taking.

If you are pregnant, you should only be taking vitamins recommended by your doctor/ folic acid before conceiving and first trimester/ multivitamins that are designed specifically for pregnancy.

No im not pg as its for to boost my energy up as im (was) permantly tired and worn out but since taking these ive starting to wake up more and got more energy too - so im pleased with them.

unsure how many mg the Vits B's had got in it as its stated -
thiamin (vit b1) = 5mg
Riboflavin (vit b2) = 7.5mg

it also stated that just to take 2 tabs daily

Oh, so it's just B1 and B2? Sounds fine then (and B6 wouldn't do you any harm as long as you don't OD over a period). B1 and B2 are important vitamins you do need to eat regularly so sounds like the tablets are a good idea, if you can't adjust your diet. Carbohydrates and dairy foods will give you plenty of B vitamins - maybe you aren't eating enough of them?

Fio, chemist is right to the extent that B vits are water soluble so you excrete what you don't need (but then why are they charging you good money for it? Supermarket own brand multi-vits would be cheaper). But as I said, there is a SUL for Vit B so worth checking if your tablets exceed that (10mg). Some companies are selling tablets with 10 x the SUL of vit B which is just plain wrong. (I'm editing a report on this by independent experts at the moment).
