I treated DS, DD1 and DH for thread worms last year when DD2 was about 1mth old. As I was BF I couldn't take any medicine. I appear to still have them . Does anybody know what I can do to get rid of them bearing in mind that I am still BF.

Kelly - you can buy Pripsen (I'm beginning to sound like their sales rep) and Ovex (?) over the counter. If you have very young DC you might need to discuss with the pharmacist but my GP let me treat a 1 year old. Your DD will appreciate the relief!

Mooshy, get your kids to do a poo in a potty, or put cling film over toilet. We discovered last year we had them when DD1 has a poo on the potty while DS was having a poo on the toilet. There were squeels when they saw something moving on the poo in the potty and it became a game! Often fondly remembered by them as 'remember the time we saw worms in your poo' - often said in the wrong company... like at mass or around the dinner table at somebody else' house!

Dettajnr - how funny is that? (not very at mass I suppose).

Here on MN I'm in good company. Back in RL only one other mum I know has said her DCs have had worms - and we know hundreds of other parents. I'd feel very alone if I didn't know they were mostly liars!!

CJinsussex, I know. And they all live their perfect lives with perfect husbands and children. AND their houses' always seem to be clean, tidy and you never go flying across the floor on a toy...

since dd had them on mon night have read up on it and research says that 4 out of 10 children will have worms by the time that they are 10 its just most people wont admit it nothing to be ashamed of i mean our children have to catch it off another infected child!!!!!
