Hi
I don't know if this is the right thread for this?
Anyhow, of late I have suffered a loss in appetite.
I suppose due to emotional circumstances...I recently got divorced and the ex moved out. Plus other stuff.
I don't seem to have an appetite especially in the morning. And seem to eat bits and bobs in the day. By the time I some dinner/bathtime/bedtime (I've 2 kids), there seems to be little point in making dinner for myself.
Can anyone suggest any really easy food to eat in the morning when I have little appetite.
I seem to be suffering from a lack of self care.
Thank you all.

Its understandable that you've lost your appetite with all of that going on. Could you take a multivitamin each day?

What do the children each for breakfast and dinner? Could you eat that?

Yes was going to say the same could you make extra when making the dc meals and warm it up later?
Other than that fruit juices and smoothies are packed full of calories so have those in the day and maybe eat little and often whenever you feel able maybe do some carrot and cucumber sticks when your making breakfast so they're ready In the fridge with dips etc when you feel your able to manage a snack.
How are you managing generally would it help to chat to your GP?

Yes Jilted, I think I need to make an effort and make myself eat even if I don't feel so hungry. I can eat porridge for breakfast.
Kids eat about 5.30pm so could start..
I will get my appetite back but I think I need to build on it

Ahh thanks wishful....
Yes as I said before, I think it's about eating little and often and eating even if I don't feel particularly hungry!

Eating with the DC sounds like a good start. Were you used to eating together later before he left?

Have you got a friend you could invite around for a coffee, perhaps if you talk to a friend and have some nice biscuits or cake it may help.

How are you coping apart from you appetite?
