Hi there

A blood test is just the first step in diagnosing coeliac- the best way is to take a biopsy. You need a referral to a dietician who can try you on an exclusion diet. You can be intolerant to gluten but not have coeliac- coeliac is an autoimmune disease, not an allergy or intolerance.

Google coeliac support- there is a good website which will explain the differences and what to do next.

Blood tests for food allergy and intolerance rarely show anything- you need to cut out gluten for a few weeks then see what happens when you eat it again.

If there is still any suspicion that you may have coeliac disease, do not cut out gluten. Any further blood tests or biopsies you have will show a false negative. You need a proper diagnosis to be eligible for any extra tests, scans and prescriptions. My MIL was advised to cut out gluten before getting a proper diagnosis and is therefore not entitled to gf food on prescription which would be free as she is a pensioner.
