Oh no, gluten intolerant and accidentally eaten gluten

Have diagnosed gluten sensitivity. Haven't had a trace of the stuff for a good 6 years (when it was only a trace but enough to cause stomach ache). Accidentally ate something at work I later found out not to be gluten free at lunch time and for the last hour or so have been getting more and more bloated and suffering with my tummy. I'm so cross with myself as I'm usually so careful, and, to add insult to injury, we're off on holiday tomorrow.

My previous experience of accidentally eating gluten is a reaction a few hours/the next morning of stomach ache (unbearable, to the point it hurts to move and walk) which takes a few days to shift properly and it's been so bad I have fainted from the pain. My stomach feels like I can feel there's something in my intestine my body doesn't like and it's struggling to push it through my body (I realise that sound weird).

I'm so scared I'm going to be in agony and not able to get on holiday. I'm also scared I'm going to be sick (I'm emetophobic). I'm so cross with myself as it's so rare I eat anything out of the house anyway (cross contamination worries).

Anyway, just wanting hand holding if you don't mind. Please tell me everything will be OK Confused .

And, what can I do to help the symptoms? I've never found anything which will help yet. Took buscopan earlier as it's for stomach spasms and I figured it might help

Oh no! Hope it doesn't cause you too much pain. Not gf here, but my dp avoids it as it makes him feel really poorly. He can tell straight away if he's eaten something he shouldn't, but fortunately it's not as severe as your reaction. Hope someone wise has a good idea about how you can minimise the effects.

Thanks, fingers crossed here madly!

Don't know if it's too late to help now, but I find Motilium from the chemist is the only thing other than time that helps.
