LO's (now 10.5months) reflux (mostly silent) has been manageable for months now but this week she started teething (first one just coming through).
I am aware that teething can make the problem much worse, even in babies that seemed to be coping ok. My question is how severe can it get this suddenly?
LO has brought everything she has had (milk and solids) up in the last 24hrs (usually 2+hrs after it has been eaten). I am praying she has a bug/virus, but there is no significant temperature and she is ok in herself (though a little subdued). Her appetite for milk is reduced (not suprising as she is never keen), but she is pretty ok with the solids and drinking water.
We are seeing the GP this afternoon (unfortunately regular GP is away so this one will have even less knowledge of reflux than normal). I need to know if anyone here with a refluxer has seen this severe a reaction to teething (particularly if it is normally silent reflux) or if it is more likely a bug.
thanks alot
alice
