Any Gynaecologist/obstetricians out there - experience with placenta previa

Can anyone offer advise please?
Brief History. 2 DC. dc1 born full term (over due), good pregnancy, hard labour with ventouse but healthy and fine.
DC2 terrible pregnancy, APH from 19 weeks, prom at 25wks, spontaneous delivery at 27weeks due to placenta previa. Now 2 years old with mildish CP.

My question is that we would love another baby, but what are the chances of this happening again. I know there is no guarantee but is there anything to suggest I am at more risk of another placenta previa because of my previous pregnancy even though 1st was fine?
Someone suggested I should get my uterus checked before ttc, is this an option?
I am 34, fit, healthy weight and BMI, don't smoke, dont drink excessively.

Thank you.

Midwife here.

My understanding is that the placenta never implants on the same spot twice. This is why the more pregnancies you have the greater the risk on PP. But of course due to your very difficult second pregnancy another would be treated as high risk regardless.

I don't think you can get your uterus checked per se but you could definitely request an appointment with a gynae to discuss this.

Sadly there are just no guarantees but there is every chance you would have a normal or at least much less difficult time. Quite possibly the length of your cervix would be measured during the pregnancy.

Hope your tiny one is doing well.

Thanks So am I right in saying, where the embryo implants and placenta grows is just luck?? And last time was bad luck. I know some people have pp and it doesn't always cause the problems I had. When deemed high risk, what additional care would i get?

My heart is saying go for it, my head is holding me back Confused
