Where can I get a thumb splint today?

I have hypermobility syndrome and suffer with flare ups of certain joints. I've been struggling with my thumb for a few weeks but kind of assumed I'd pulled it gardening etc. Of course I now realise that the pain at the base of my thumb is pretty typical HMS pain and I really need to splint and immobilise the thumb.

I have splints and braces for everything except a bloody thumb. I go on holiday for a week on Saturday and can't get in to see the GP before then so ideally I need to buy a thumb splint myself until I can get to the Doctors when I'm back. I've seen the cheap neoprene wrist supports on the high street but not actually seen one with a full thumb to immobilise it.

Does anyone know where they sell these? I tossed and turned last night because I couldn't get my hand comfortable Sad

don't limit your search to pharmacies - some sports shops sell them

Do you have Amazon Prime? I bought a really good one on Amazon & had it delivered next day. If you don't have prime but you find one you want & it's available for prime delivery, sign up for the free one month trial & get it. Just remember to cancel after a month.

Go and see a physio. Much better at these things than GPs (and I am one:-))

Thanks CMOT I have ordered from the physioroom for delivery tomorrow.
Musical I can't get to see the physio either before I go away sadly. I've ordered a thumb spica so immobilise the joint, I'm hoping the flare doesn't last too long but from what I've read thumbs and hypermobility seem a bit problematic.

At this stage I'll be happy just to get some sleep. I'mm go and see the GP when I get back and get a physio referral. They have been X Raying this hand for the last 3 years due to pain, I guess they are looking for signs of arthritis in the joint and I suspect they'll want to x ray again.

Thanks all
