Frequent pins and needles

I hate getting pins and needles, and I seem to be getting it all the time at the moment.
Last night I even woke up with pins and needles of the lips!!!

What is it?

I had a hep B jab a week ago, could it be related?
I only ask because the bloke doing the jab said that there wasn't proof that the jab caused MS!

Get your thryroid function tested

I seem to be having the same thing to recently so would be interested to know what it is.

Thanks SW!
Was tested 5 years ago and it was fine, but I can ask next time I see a Dr.

I feel less worried about it now, must have been a freaky nerve pinching thing that made my lips get p&n.

Not seen a Dr yet, the p&n in hands and feet could be easily explained by sitting funny or lying funny in bed, but the lips one is new to me!

keep me updated if you don't mind because i am exactly the same although I am always paramoid that I am being to much of a wimp to say anything!!

Before I got my 'roid diagnosed as under active I had the pins and needles at night and was convinced it was MS. of course it may not be the answer but it is worth mentioning for sure
Hope you get it sorted out

My mum, aunt and grandmother all have underactive thyroids, so I feel I have it coming at some stage!

why do you get pins and needles with ms?

reiver · 29/08/2006 21:40

Try eating bananas! I saw my GP recently for an 'MOT' and mentioned that I'd been getting pins and needles occasionally. I'd wondered if it was a sign of raised blood pressure but no, mine was fine and she suggested eating bananas as it was likely to be an imbalance (of potassium I think). Anyway I started eating bananas or treating myself to those yummy strawberry & banana smoothies and it seemed to do the trick!

Bananas, I could do bananas!

Don't know why Janbo, it is listed as an early symptom though. Isn't MS a nerve disorder, and nerve damage can give you p&n
