I'm considering sending the x-rays to the USA to be looked at - am I losing the plot here?

In Columbus, Ohio there's a hospital which specializes in operating on children with severe Jeune's syndrome. So they have seen lots of children with the condition.
I've been in e/mail contact and they're willing to look at the x-rays.
Am I taking things too far here?

I would go for it. It's never a bad thing to get another opinion ime.

expatinscotland · 25/08/2006 12:33

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

fairyjay · 25/08/2006 13:09

I would send the x-rays emkana. If it's their specialism, they are going to be more up-to-speed with the condition.
Good luck

Do it. Can't see the downside. You don't have anything to lose, and potentially stand to gain vital information/help.

LIZS · 25/08/2006 13:13

If you are clear as to what you want to get out of doing so and the potential limitations of the distance, I'd see no problem. Perhaps they could even point you in a different direction to a more local specialist.

edam · 25/08/2006 13:24

I'd do it, but as Liz says, make sure I understood what they could and couldn't tell me and how useful that information might be.

Hi guys, now that you're all encouraging me to do it I suddenly hesitate.

Might wait what the specialist in Bristol that the x-rays have been sent to has to say first.
