I'm on Cerazette, it seems to be working fine, no bleeding at all 99% of the time.

Recently we had a crazy week with DS1 in hospital and me and DP swapping between the other 2 DSs, although I took my pills every day it was all over the place in regards to timing, usually I always take it as soon as I get up but for that 2 weeks I was taking some days very late at night but always within the 12hr window.

Then we had sex and the next morning I had started what looked like a normal period, brown blood, dragging cramps and bloated abdomen, it lasted for 5 days and tailed off as normal. Then we had sex the next day (quite erm vigorous) and this morning I first had a smear of red fresh blood and now I have what looks like a period again, heavier and browny with again mild cramps.

I will be booking my smear (I had the letter last week) and a GP appointment on Tuesday, appointments are like hens teeth at our surgery so it might take a week or two.

In the mean time, has anyone had anything like this or knows anything about this sort of thing? I'm a natural worrier and I know what dr google will say Blush

I had this about 5 years ago. Mine turned out to be an eptopy. Just like a lump that bled on friction. I had it lasered away. When you have your smear they may be able to give you some advice. Try not to worry. When mine was getting investigated they never suggested it could ever be sinister.

I have cervical erosion, which the smear nurse blames on taking the mini pill for 13+ years.

I've had odd bits old and fresh blood appear after sex. Fortunately I don't get smear recalls any more as the new system doesn't mind blood cells.

Thanks for the replies.

Hopefully it isn't anything sinister, I'm also hoping it isn't the Cerazette starting to play me up. I'm all out of suggestions if this option goes wrong. Luckily we have a fab family planning and women's health nurse at our practice, getting to see her is usually a bit easier than the dr and shec an do my smear and everything else all at once.
