Is it likely to be some sort of swelling due to being mucked about with?

That's understandable. I've seen a few of your threads and you are going through a lot at the moment. I hope you get some answers soon.

KatyMac · 02/04/2014 22:51

I'll get over it - I just don't do waiting (or starvation) well Wink

Are you managing to eat? Maybe some lovely thick creamy soup?

KatyMac · 02/04/2014 23:21

I had some chicken & veg (no milk) today but it went straight through me (sorry tmi)

Sorry to hear that Katy. Can you eat rice? White rice is very gentle on the stomach, just cooked in water with some bouillon powder added.

KatyMac · 03/04/2014 07:51

Technically I could eat it - but I don't like it

This diet should have been given to someone less faddy - mind you lots of the things I don't 'like' (& have never liked) I have had to exclude

My mum said I refused: eggs, milk, green veg (except peas/beans), I never really went for cream cakes, biscuits, pastry, yorkshire puds or pancakes, white sauces, nuts, rice, pasta, milky puddings (custard, blancmange, tapioca, rice pud etc, beans (other than baked) - even ice cream I chose the white Italian rather than the creamy vanilla & I rarely (if ever) ate cheese and then only lancashire/cheshire

So the 'diet' I chose as a child is pretty similar to the one they have suggested 40 odd years later - which is a bit spooky really - especially as my mum & I trained me to eat all the things I didn't like (with a few exceptions like rice, nuts, broccolli & cabbage)

Feeling a lot brighter today, sorry about last night Blush

No need to apologise Smile

That is strange. I read that often the things you crave are the things that are bad for you, so if you crave dairy products you probably have a dairy intolerance. Not sure how true that is though.

Drinking hot milky drinks has always made me feel ill and I think cutting out dairy has improved my health.

I hope things start to improve soon for you. I do believe changing our diet can make a huge difference. I would definitely look at cutting out all sugar, as there are growing concerns over the effect it has on our bodies.

My blood tests came back today & are completely clear

I am getting a copy of them - to send to my brother who understands these things

kazzawazzawoo · 03/04/2014 14:35

That is good news, but I guess doesn't really help you work out what's wrong.

Pollywallywinkles · 03/04/2014 19:45

It certainly won't hurt to have your brother to cast his eyes over the results Katy. It could be that whilst your bloods are normal that something is a bit on the low side.

KatyMac · 03/04/2014 23:16

He is a bit careful about things as he has RA

I know blood tests can't solve things but I was hoping for a bit of direction

OP posts:
KatyMac · 04/04/2014 12:00

They need 'permission' from the GP to allow me a copy of my results

I'm not sure how I feel about that really - I'm sure I am allowed them

OP posts:
kazzawazzawoo · 04/04/2014 12:33

Crazy - it's your body!

KatyMac · 08/04/2014 20:23

The Biopsy was completely clear - I just 'get' mouth ulcers

OP posts:
kazzawazzawoo · 08/04/2014 20:42

Then if I was you I would experiment a bit.

Have you tried cutting out all carbs? That includes sugar and anything like potato, pasta, rice, bread? I know you've followed an exclusion diet already, but I've heard lots of people say their mouth ulcers disappeared when they ate no carbs, my husband included and he used to have a mouthful of huge grey ulcers. He cut out all carbs, caffeine, alcohol, dairy and just ate lots of meat, fish, eggs, veg, drank lots and lots of water and decaff coffee and they just disappeared.

Good luck Smile

KatyMac · 08/04/2014 20:44

That would leave me with meat & carrots & a banana every 3rd day

Hang on Bananas are carbs aren't they?
